Our delightful thatched, half timbered, Norman cottage is just outside the market town of Brionne, on the river Risle.

It is ideally situated for exploring the region. Within approximately an half an hour drive you can find Monets Garden at Giverny, Richard the Lionhearts Castle at Les Andeleys, not least the lovely city of Rouen, with its magnificent cathedral and over 700 timbered buildings. The picturesque port of Honfleur is 40 minutes away, and Paris an accessible 70 miles, making day trips a realistic possibility.

Brionne is just to the north-east of Bernay, which is shown on the following map.
